Vernon, Connecticut is a mill town with many manufacturing plants closed and vacant. We were hired to assess the future economic development potential of the town. We analyzed the growth sectors of the regional economy, developed a clear picture of Vernon’s strengths and weaknesses, conducted a market analysis for key downtown properties, and wrote a retention and recruitment strategy. Vernon’s Economic and Community Development Director is now implementing these recommendations.
